Osteopathy in Sheffield, Chesterfield and surrounding areas

About Us

Lotus Osteopathy was set up by our osteopath, Hannah, to make osteopathy accessible to the whole family. Although we specialise in pre and post-natal care, we still enjoy treating complaints from everyone! We offer our appointments from the Still Point practice; a warm, welcoming and relaxed environment in Nether Edge, Sheffield.

“Following my training at the British School of Osteopathy I have enjoyed treating patients of all ages and stages of life, often treating whole families! The thing I love most about my job is watching patients’ lives return to normal after periods of discomfort or pain.

I always strive to treat each patient as an individual and make sure the treatment and advice I give them is tailored to their own needs. This often includes lifestyle, exercise, and general health advice as well as osteopathic treatment, to get you back to normal as soon as possible.

Over recent years I have undergone postgraduate training in treating babies and expectant mothers. Osteopathic treatment at these times is very safe and gentle. It is a common misconception that pain is a normal part of pregnancy, but it doesn’t have to be. Osteopathy can help the body to adapt to the changes that pregnancy brings to make it a more comfortable process.

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. I work to restore balance to the body by using touch, joint manipulation, massage, stretching and medical acupuncture. This increases mobility, relieves muscle tension, and enhances blood and nerve supply to encourage your body’s natural healing process without the need for drugs or surgery.

Some of the most common things I treat include:

       Lower back pain and sciatica

       Headaches and migraines

       Neck and shoulder pain

       Pregnancy related pain

       Chronic pain

       Postural issues”
